Sound & Breath Journeys

A deeply-held experience of breath, body, and sound.

These journeys are sacred space. Part breathwork, part sound healing, and part somatic unwinding—they’re designed to help you meet yourself with honesty, tenderness, and care.

What is Breathwork?

At its core, breathwork is the practice of consciously working with your breath to regulate your nervous system, restore presence, and invite a deeper relationship with yourself.

In these journeys, we use a technique called conscious-connected breath—a circular, rhythmic pattern that eliminates the pause between inhale and exhale. Breathing in this way oxygenates the body deeply, activating the lower lungs, which are rich in parasympathetic nerve receptors. This helps cue the body into a state of rest, regulation, and healing.

In contrast, upper lung and open-mouth chest breathing stimulate the sympathetic nervous system—the part responsible for activating stress and alertness. Here, we stay rooted in nose inhales, anchoring the experience in safety and a gentler nervous system response.

This style of breathwork is both reverent and revolutionary. It can:

  • Reestablish a sense of safety and presence in the body

  • Support deep somatic unwinding and emotional release

  • Invite spaciousness around stuck or constricted areas

  • Expand awareness, soften resistance, and open access to deeper truths

  • Bring you out of your head and into your heart

This is a pathway to altered states of consciousness, yes—but it’s also a sacred return to the body, to feeling, and to the part of you that knows.

The Journey

Every session is gently guided and trauma-informed.

We’ll begin by grounding the body, setting intentions, and opening the space. You’ll be supported every step of the way—with hands-on integration toward the end to help bring you back into your body with care.

Each journey closes with a full-body sound bath to help integrate the breathwork, followed by optional space for reflection or shared insights.

Who is this for?

These sessions are open to individuals and groups:

  • 1:1 private sessions

  • Small, intimate gatherings

  • Larger circles (up to 12 people) by request

No prior experience is required, but an open mind and willingness to meet yourself where you are is welcomed.

What You’ll Need

  • A yoga mat

  • An eye mask

All other supportive tools and grounding drops will be provided for you.

A Note on Contraindications

Breathwork is a powerful tool—and because of that, there are some health considerations to be aware of. If you have a history of certain mental health conditions, cardiovascular issues, or are currently pregnant, please mention this in your form. We’ll always follow up with care to determine if this is the right practice for you, or explore a modified version that honors your needs.
